Rave.DJ Fire Mixes and Mashups

For months I've had random thoughts while bored in quarantine about songs I would mashup and how I would transition from song to song for various playlists. So one night I tried various ways to try and make these mixes I was thinking about. From Garageband to weird online software I couldn't figure out how to make my ideas turn into reality. Then upon numerous Google searches, I found rave.dj a free website where you can copy and paste two songs to mash them up or put in 10 songs to make your own smooth transition mix. My Throwback R&B Musical

Image
So many r&b songs tell a vivid story about love, heartbreak, and romance. My idea, take all the amazing songs from the 90s/00s to make a musical. Below is my extremely rough concept, hit me up with ideas/feedback. Ain't Nobody a Musical written by Matt Ostrow It starts out a rainy day and both of our lead characters are on dates that are going well we'll name them Trey and Alicia (after the two r&b singers Trey Songz and Alicia Keys). Cut to split screen where both get to their respective apartments excited about their potential love interests. They both start singing a duet version of It Feels Good by Tony Toni Tone . But both Trey and Alicia start to see sketchy behavior from their new boyfriend/girlfriends. * Trouble by Bei Maejor* starts to be sung by the chorus in the background. Now it is evident that both Trey and Alicia are being cheated on. Both find texts on their interests phone and random things in their apartment that lead them to come this con

What's better I Need a Girl Part 1 or Part 2?

Image
In the year 2001 P Diddy released the two-part song I Need a Girl. Both songs have a clear distinct sound while being equally fire. Below I will do my best to articulate what separates the two parts of I Need a Girl and which is better. Part 1 P Diddy featuring Usher and Loon A slow pure r&b track with very little bass. Usher kills this song, he even sings over himself in the chorus. Part 2  P. Diddy featuring Loon, Ginuwine & Mario Winans For all you young kids out there this is what a true remix or part two looks like. Using the same theme/melody but flipping it to creating a new song. This part features more an of a hip hop vibe with verses and an r&B chorus. Who can forget Diddy's classic "take that, take that" What part of I Need a Girl is better? In my humble opinion, it has to be part 2. The combination of the bounce in the bass and melody drop will make anyone lose it. You also get what is most likely P Diddy's best l

NEW FUTURE- WIZRD

Image
FUTURE HNDRXX- THE WIZRD It has been almost 2 years since Future blessed us with the double album experience of HNDRXX/FUTURE. With those two projects, we got a few bangers in Mask Off, Draco and PIE to name a few. We also got a couple emotional ballads with Feds Did a Sweep, Turn on Me and Fresh Air. In the time since those albums we've been treated to a few Future collabs (JuiceWRLD and Young Thug) and Beast Mode 2 but none have quite built me back up to what I felt when I listened to previous Future albums or mixtapes. Let's get back to the recent drop of The WIZRD which came out with little to no warning we get this 20 song album and all is good with the world. Interestingly the two songs I heard first from this album were Jumping on a Jet and Crushed Up neither song is a favorite for me on the album. Both feel a little too repetitive with other songs on the album a lot better. Below are my favorite tracks, favorite lines and what they emote inside me. Tempta

10 Songs Every DJ Should be Required to Play Every Night

Over the holidays I went out a few times to various parties/bars which was a lot more than my washed self had done in the past few months. While being out late I had the thought I've had numerous times before "I want to DJ at bars/parties". I'm sure it's much harder than it appears but I think I could spin some heat to get the party started. During my time in college in northwest Ohio night out consisted of way to much garbage music being played at bars/parties. I think I heard Tio Cruz/Jason Derulo/Flo Rida enough for 100 lifetimes. Here are my suggested 10 songs that I think DJs should play each night. Slow Jamz- Kanye West Rockin' That Thang- The Dream Dilemma- Nelly/Kelly Rowland Suga Suga- Baby Bash Danza Kuduro- Don Omar Swag Surfin- FLY What About Your Friends- TLC Stay Fly- Three 6 Mafia Dance with Me- 112 If you want me to DJ your upcoming function I can be paid in everything bagels.

Top Shoes on my Wish List

Image
This blog is going to be a little different then previous blogs mainly focused on my music interests. The subject of this blog is going to be shoes on my wish list. A few years ago I got really into the culture of shoes specifically the rare shoes that are released in limited numbers typically a collaboration between a small brand and a big sneaker brand. The first shoe that I was lucky enough to get through one of these drops was the Kith Aspen Ultraboost Mids pictured below. I instantly loved how unique the pattern on the upper and already loved how comfortable the other pairs of Ultraboosts were. It also was an extremely popular shoe since this was the first time Adidas made an Ultraboost as a mid. The original Ultraboosts are extremely popular and that made this pair hard to get. Currently they are going for about $500 on StockX almost three times what retail was. This year the hypest shoe released were the Nike/Off White collection. The deconstructed Nikes combined with

2 New Trey Songz Mixtapes!

C'MON! A few days ago Trey Songz dropped two mixtapes with little to no warning. This isn't the first time he's done this. Trigga has came out with numerous mixtapes that went under the radar from his Anticipation series to collabs with Chris Brown and Fabolous. If you haven't peeped those give them a listen. The Anticipation series will have you and your boo feeling romantic or have you texting your ex at 4 AM. The two EPs with Chris Brown and Fabolous will get you ready to turn up for the night.
