10 Song Shuffle Challenge
I've had the same laptop since before I start college in the summer of 2009. In that time period, my musical taste has constantly changed. On my hard drive, I have over 10,000 songs.Today I am going to start on the first on in my library as a starting point then on shuffle give my feelings on the 10 next songs that follow. Some may be songs I still listen to while some may be random mixtape songs that I downloaded in college. Here we go...
Song 1- Real by Frank Ocean, The Lonny Breaux Collection
This song is for an early Frank Ocean mixtape. I've listened to most of the songs on it but it's over 30 songs in length and this is one I missed. This is a chill ballad that I'm feeling on this lazy Sunday sitting in a coffee shop in Kansas City.
Song 2- We Don't Do That by the Joker, The Casino Family Vol. 1
Anyone that spoke to me in high school and early college knows how much I loved the rapper Tha Joker. In my opinion, he still has some of the best punchlines in hip hop. This was one of his better mixtapes and this song also had a ridiculous video that was part of a multipart video series.
Song 3- I'm Raw by Fabolous, There is No Competition 2
One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite rappers. The video features Fab in a butcher shop rapping in a meat locker.
Song 4- Lemme Take You Out by Travis Porter feat. Bryan J, Proud to Be a Problem
This was my friends and I's jam my Sophmore year in college until another friend played it so much it got played out. But now it's fun to hear again.
Song 5- A Soulja World by Soulja Boy
Smh at myself, I have way to much Soulja Boy on my computer.
Song 6- Middle of the Night by 100s, IVRY
I've spoken about 100s on numerous occasions and he still has the best album artwork in the history of the world imo.
Song 7 Remix by Soulja Boy feat Diamond, Foreign 2
Smh at myself again, there was a time in my life when I downloaded any mixtape that came out.
Song 8 Won't Stop by Meek Mill, Dreamchaser
Meek Mill has some great older music but ever since back to back it doesn't sound the same.
Song 9 Bad Decision by Waka Flocka feat Wooh Da Kid, DuFlocka Rant 2
OMG THIS SONG GOES SO HARD, I'VE NEVER HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE. I'M REALLY CLOSE TO JUMPING ON A TABLE AND SPIKING MY ICED TEA INTO THE GROUND AND RIPPING MY SHIRT OFF.
Song 10 White Sands Part 2 by Rick Ross, The Albert Anastasia EP
This sample crazy pretty sure it's from Till I Collapse by Eminem. Rick Ross always has the highest production value and best beats so I'm not surprised.
